My students are from different parts of the Tampa Bay area. They are a diverse set of students. Most are energetic, creative, and eager-to-learn. Every day they arrive before most people are even in the car on the way to work. They love working with partners and in groups. I want my classroom to enable them to be ready for the real world.
Some students have been diagnosed with ADHD and other learning disabilities.
I want to make sure all students have supports to help them achieve the very best.
Students will often tell me that the classroom is different and is the only classroom they wish they could stay in all day.
Students are happy with their school and teachers. Each day they learn something new and come back the next day ready to learn more.
My Project
I want my students to have small rewards in the classroom such as stickers or sensory toys to celebrate all the small accomplishments in the classroom.
Help my students have fun and feel rewarded in the classroom.
Using emoji and Marvel stickers my students can swag out their binders and notebooks to mark all the little things they do right each day in the classroom. As rewards I like to give out sensory toys for students to use for a quick brain break or reward. Students really enjoy stretching monkey bands or plastering their notebooks with stickers as a badge of honor.
