Sticker Store Refill

My Students

My students are 7 and 8 year old boys and girls who love to learn! The students in my class love to be leaders, they love to share their ideas and opinions, they love when subjects are engaging, and they love hands-on activities and games. These students haven't had a normal year of school EVER. Their kinder year was cut short because of Covid and because of this, a lot of them have gaps in their learning. I'm doing everything possible to close those gaps before they move onto 3rd grade!

My Project

This year in my classroom I opened a "sticker store." In my class, we do table points since my students sit at 5 different tables. The table with the most points at the end of the week earns a trip to the sticker store where all students at that table get to pick out a cool vinyl sticker that they can place on their folders, spirals, water bottles, or another place they would. A lot of my students like to place their stickers on their water bottles and folders where they can broadcast them to show how many times their table has won. The sticker store promotes positive behavior in my classroom. There are a few other items on my list that are for reading groups and math lessons. For example, some of the items are magnetic fraction visuals, and hands-on magnetic counters to count sounds in words to help with reading and spelling. I also included a pocket holder that will store headphones.
