My Students

Do you remember your days in Middle School Physical Education class? Are those memories filled with excitement or dread? Well at my school our students LOVE their PE class. Their focus is on the love of movement not the love of sports. Each day every student participates in a variety of fitness activities all geared toward building a life long love of exercise. Our goal is to understand how exercise can have a positive effect on our physical health and our mental/emotional health as well.

My Project

My students will be using these pedometers each day to track how many steps the accumulate during their time in class. It's not about the sport they are playing, but the steps they are getting. We will use the steps we log each day to determine how intense our workout was for that class period.

The value of exercise we get each day plays an invaluable role in not only our my students' physical health but just as importantly their mental/emotional health as well.

By donating to this project you will be helping students stay fit, develop a love of movement, reducing the amount of stress they feel, and increasing their ability to learn in other classes.
