My Students

Second grade is a pivotal year for students, where there are connections to be made and lots of exciting learning to be done! My students want to do well and to be successful in their educational endeavors.

High pressure is placed on second graders to meet standards in reading, writing, and math.

At our school, it is important to make learning a fun and memorable experience, while recognizing students for their hard work and growth as lifelong learners along the way.

My Project

I am asking for 3 Unicef bands for my second grade classroom. Unicef is an organization using kids' steps to turn into meals for severely malnourished children.

The more that the students move throughout the day, the more meals that are given to children in need.

This will not only teach students the importance of exercise, but it is an experience of compassion as well, creating a well-rounded individual.

With Unicef, students are inspired to keep moving! Along with steps earned through power bands, meals can also be earned through interactive online videos. Help my second graders to become active earning philanthropists!
