My Students

In the early childhood years, the development of number sense is crucial to gain a deep understanding of what numbers are. The ability to solve real world math problems and build confidence with math skills is essential to establishing a life long love of math and learning.

My students are busy creating, learning, growing, and becoming digital citizens in our all day Kindergarten program in Idaho.

We love learning and figuring out how our world works in a public education setting. We are 5 and 6 year old "Can Do" kids.

My Project

I image, with the help of these resources, a classroom where math just makes sense. This program will help me to develop and reinforce Kindergarten mathematical language while taking advantage of young learners natural love of stories, songs, and hands on activities. These online and print materials will work together to help stimulate math conversations geared around Kindergarten math concepts and the idea of developing number sense.

As an early childhood educator, I understand how important it is that young children have a strong sense of numbers so they can be confident, problem solving math students when they are older.

I want to see a class full of students who love math and numbers and who aren't afraid to tackle any problem that comes their way.
