My Students

My preschool classroom is a neighborhood, low-income area school in Indianapolis, IN. English Language Learners and students with varied abilities are welcome and included in all activities at my school. Everything we do is centered in kindness. This first school experience welcomes curiosity, creativity, and exploration with hands-on daily experiences in an academically challenging environment. Students develop skills to embrace others' differences with open hearts. Being their teacher allows all of us to experience growth and joy on a daily basis. I am so proud to expand the beautiful minds of these amazing individuals and expose them to new adventures.

My Project

We will be able to practice our Alphabet skills inside and outside with these sturdy stepping stones. These will allow students to not only work on the alphabet but to work on core strength as well.

Many of my students need practice with English words and what better way to boost vocabulary than with exciting, colorful, bold picture cards.

In addition the words are on the back of these cards so those who are ready can start trying to write the words and check their own work on the back side.

Prepositional word practice and beginning sounds practice with magnets are a great way to offer learning experiences whole group, small group and individually.
