My students need stepping stone and coaster kits, molds, cement, stained glass chips, safety goggles, and tools to make a stepping stone path through our "Kinder-Garden".
In order to feel an integral part of our community, my students will be creating a long-lasting, community-service project at our school. Each of our kindergarteners over the next few years will have the opportunity to design and compose his/her own stepping stone for our "Kinder-Garden."
We have 112 kindergarteners this year including one Special Needs class.
They love to help, love to create, and love to share their accomplishments. Each stone will be a symbol of each child's commitment to our school, its beautification, and our environment. In order to complete this stepping stone path through our "Kinder-Garden," we need stepping stone and coaster kits, molds, cement, stained glass chips, safety goggles, and tools.
My Project
This project started out as a science unit on plants that has grown, branched out, and blossomed into the protection and nurturing of our environment, community service, and teamwork. My students can't wait to come to school to see what has happened in our garden!
With your help, our kindergarten students will all have the opportunity to beautify our school and to contribute.
They will plan, create, and cooperate. But the most valuable effect of this project is the sense of usefulness and importance that my students will gain. Thank you for your help!
