My Students
The goal of physical education class is to encourage students to be active and healthy throughout their lives. I teach approximately 800 diverse students throughout the week. I teach 24 general education physical education classes and 2 English Language Learner physical education classes each week.
Physical education class provides the opportunity to learn academically, socially, and physically.
Even though I am only able to see my students once a week for forty minutes, we make every minute count.
My Project
My students will use the pedometer to track their steps and their movement during Physical Education class. These bands will not only be used for students to walk around with but also be used during physical activity games.
My goal is to create a healthy competition and encourage students to move often and frequently throughout the duration of the class.
These UNICEF Bands will not only encourage students to be active. They will also encourage students to give back to the community. The Kid Power Bands will help show the big impact students can have around the country just by moving!
