The sun shines as bright as my students' faces as they scurry down the hall to their next class, talking about the latest fad or superhero movie. What is incredible is that their smiles remain as the talking subsides and their thinking caps slide on. My students come in all shapes, colors, and sizes. The one thing they have in common is the desire to learn. I know that sounds strange for middle schoolers, but these young minds are like sponges looking for a bucket of knowledge.
My Project
Science is everywhere in the world around us. Technology is continuously expanding into every aspect of our lives. Engineering is the basic designs of roads and bridges, but also tackles the challenges of changing global weather and environmentally-friendly changes to our home. Mathematics is in every occupation, every activity we do in our lives. By exposing students to STEM and giving them opportunities to explore STEM-related concepts, they will develop a passion for it and hopefully pursue a job in a STEM field. Starting to read about these opportunities are necessary
In the 21st century, scientific and technological innovations have become increasingly important as we face the benefits and challenges of both globalization and a knowledge-based economy.
To succeed in this new information-based and highly technological society, students need to develop their capabilities in STEM to levels much beyond what was considered acceptable in the past, my students need books that are STEM basis. My students need to read and live a STEM world.
