My Students

Math is hard enough imagine not having the supplies to do the problems. My students face all kinds of challenges at school and outside of school.

My 8th graders are facing all the challenges of growing up, some deal with hunger and unstable homes, these are problems no child is prepared for.

Being prepared for for school is a burden I can help relieve. With basic supplies each child can come to class on an equal footing.

My Project

Imagine trying to learn math without being able to do problems. Practice is essential to learning math skills, and face it we don't always do it perfect the first time. That is why math teachers encourage students to use pencil. Having plenty of pencils makes sure that each kid can get all the practice they need to master the skill.

Basic math is an essential life skill and math competence is required for my students to be successful beyond my classroom and beyond our school building.

Math is the language of all technology.
