This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am privileged to teach 50 outstanding students. My students are very inquisitive, creative, and extremely clever. We are a Title I school where over three quarters of the population receives free or reduced-price lunch. Even though some of my students were affected by Hurricane Harvey and lost everything, they are still excited and enthused about learning. Our school is very culturally diverse.
We are extremely competitive, and we strive for excellence daily.
Willing, ready, and always trying to stand out above the rest, we need to produce competitive scholars for the future. We are shining stars and would love to shine with or above the rest.
My Project
My students need Sphero Spark and Sphero Bolt an app enabled robot to teach and dig deeper into coding. They will learn how to maneuver the robot by inputting commands telling the robots what to do.
My students need Sphere Spark and Sphero Bolt to make them think outside the box with their learning while being creative and having fun in the process.
This will allow me to reach all students from beginner coders to advanced coders with the sky being the limit. With Sphero robots in our classroom, we will incorporate STEM/STEAM activities to increase critical thinking and creativity. The students will work on problem solving skills related to math and science activities as well. Scholars will also create games, mazes and other activities to use the Sphero robots.
All of these challenges will open new windows of learning while staying up with the latest 21st century technology and getting students college and career ready.
