My Project

Over time, unforeseen occurrences such as local natural disasters may befall us. These items will help students cope with challenges from local natural diasters by reading books about characters with similar feelings. Believe it or not, books can create a safe place for students by showcasing diversity, building a classroom community, and just making the students smile. Sometimes a smile is all that is needed to ease the worries of the day. Since not all of my students are independent readers, the iPad will be used to assist students with read alouds in order to give them a chance to fully engage in audiobooks. By wanting to reassure my students of their safety and well-being, STEM activities will ease their hearts and minds and let their creativity be showcased. These items will help in the recovery process from local disasters and give students the sense of belonging again.
