My Students

My students are energetic and excited about learning. They love to have their hands directly in contact with their materials and love to find ways to make things more efficient for them. In our class, STEM is infused into every subject. We are one to one with technology and use it for every subject. It is a blessing for my students to be exposed to technology and resources that they would never see at home. Being a STEM focused group, we solve problems and experiment to find solutions. For every problem encountered, we say “Be a scientist and find a solution!” My students are STEMtastic 1st Graders that will grow up to be engineers.

My Project

I am asking for FlexSpace Balance Ball seats for my STEM 1st grade class. Many of my kiddos love to move around and fidget when they work. When they fidget, they tend to have trouble focusing on their task at hand. In STEM, we take great pride in our projects and many of my students struggle to put their best foot forward because they have trouble focusing at a young age. Balance ball seating has been proven to increase focus and improve behavior. I know my kids that suffer from untreated ADHD would greatly improve from this flexibile seating option.
