Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Allow me to introduce my innovative students to you. They are a very vibrant bunch who are excited about learning. They are also some of the most hardworking students I know. They're always so willing to accept the challenges of high expectations, performing and engaging in the processes of learning. Every time they come to school they have smiles on their faces and you can tell that they are just genuinely happy to be at school.
As an educator, this has been one of the most encouraging things that makes me love teaching even more.
Did I mention that our students are hard workers?! In our Kindergarten class, the students have to accomplish learning in a variety of ways. They accomplish a lot of movement and hands-on activities that allow them to learn at their optimal level. They respectfully get to work and work hard to accomplish what's been given to them. They take learning seriously, but they are also so free to have fun while doing it!
My Project
The materials and supplies I am requesting will be used for STEM activities. The materials will be set up as small group rotations where students can work together to accomplish STEM tasks. This will require students to problem solve, multitask, and learn the process of team building. The students will have the opportunity to rotate to one STEM activity per day. Each activity is needed to give students the right amount of resources needed to create small group rotations. These activities require hands on learning that helps build students cognitive skills in helping them to think higher as well as building their fine motor skills in connecting the pieces.
