We are a STEM academy. We are only one of six STEM schools in the state of Texas. We are beginning our new journey of STEM-based projects that will include math, science, engineering, technology, writing, and art.
We are so proud of this honor.
We want to help our students make great choices and to create awesome projects, but we are in need of supplies to create unique and awesome projects that our students can learn by doing. My students love learning by doing. We love building with our hands.
My Project
In my Pre-K classroom, we do a lot of STEM projects using paint and cardstock. Cardstock holds up better when using paint. The first three days, we have used cardstock and paint with painting hands to discover the sense of touch and how paint feels. Then, children used toilet paper rolls, paint, and cardstock and made paint circles. The paint blended like rainbows on their papers and they learned about circles, too.
My students need cardstock to use with STEM projects in class.
Prek goes through a lot of cardstock each month. We would appreciate any help with our STEM projects and cardstock.
