Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are from a wide range of economic backgrounds as well as general education, Special Education, English Second Language, and other specific areas of learning populations. We are embarking on our first year with a STEM Lab and are in need of hands-on, meaningful materials for activities supporting key standards and SEL learning.
My Project
This project includes various STEM toys for students to use in grades K-5. All ages enjoy being able to manipulate tools and create a project of their own.
These tools would usually be used in a way that allows students to build and communicate.
Some of the manipulatives are magnetic, while others must be balanced or attached in different ways.
One item is glow in the dark and will be used during black light STEM days! Please consider providing my students with these various opportunities to manipulate tools that strengthen their comfort with design and engineering.
