My students enjoy being in an engaging, hands-on learning environment. All come to school eager to learn and be successful leaders in our community. I strive to differentiate my teaching to meet the individual needs of a diverse group of first graders. They have a great joy for learning whether it is listening to stories, reading, or writing. They are dreamers, thinkers, talkers, and questioners.
However, many of my students face hardships that make learning difficult.
Many students receive backpack food on the weekends and clothing assistance. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day.
My Project
STEM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Math. These skills are needed in our ever changing world and I want my students to be ready for it. By donating to this project, you are helping a student prepare for the future ahead.
Students will use these items during our Daily STEM Morning Tubs.
My students will spend the first 20 minutes of each morning exploring items in their STEM Morning Tub. Throughout the week, each student will get to spend time with each tub - science, engineering, mathematics, literacy or fine motor. Students will be able to explore the engaging activities at their own pace and with little to no instruction.
