Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are an eager group of kindergartners who come from various multicultural backgrounds.

My kindergarteners are creative, thoughtful and full of questions.

They absolutely love hands-on, music, singing and dancing and engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box. They come to school each day ready to learn new things in order to grow both personally and academically.

We are a California Distinguished School and our district is Common Core ready; however, we are in need of updated school supplies to support and education the 21st century student.

My Project

I envision my students using these stem items at stations in my classroom. Every student will be engaged, challenge one another, and be very productive. These stem items allow for hands-on projects. These manipulatives will be used daily and the students will be sharing with the class by using accountable talk to explain what strategies they used to create their projects.

These STEM Manipulatives will be used with various curriculum such as language arts, social studies, math, and science.

These Kindergarteners need a variety of tools to explore. What better way to increase learning while having fun at the same time.
