This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students come from several different areas and live inside the city limits in Mobile, Alabama. They are very active in and outside of the classroom.
Most of my students are involved in some type of extracurricular activity on the weekends like: playing football, basketball, baseball, cheerleading, and/or soccer.
Our school has electives that the students can become involved in such as band, STEM, and art. Older students also have sports to choose from like football, cheerleading, baseball, basketball, and track. I have several students who love to draw, most of the time on my desk!
My Project
My iPad that I was using recently became damaged and I am in desperate need of another one. I will use the iPad to assist me with my teaching. This iPad will help me to navigate around the room while working with my students in class and remotely. This iPad will also help to provide a second delivery of instruction on sites such as Quizlet, Discovery Education, Kahoot, etc. Using the iPad on these sites will help the students to excel in the science classroom. Receiving the iPad will help to change my students' lives by letting them know that someone cares enough about their education and is willing to help them to become productive college and career-ready citizens by donating to our class.
