Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

All students at my school receive free breakfast and lunch. Our student body consists of students who live in low-income housing and with a single parent. Students are developing awareness for STEM education and coding. To ensure that students have valuable experience with STEM and coding, there is a need for updated headphones and tablets. Students affected by the integration of this grant will be at the Kindergarten level. Student learning to use technology at a young age prepares them for use of technology tomorrow.

My Project

Today's classroom is technology driven and driven by student independent learning at computer stations. Computers and tablets used in the classroom are a must to ensure that students are engaged in quality 21st-century, technology learning, which provides students with access to quality devices. Having tablets and headphones for students to use in the classroom ensures students comfort and excitement about learning. Classrooms equipped with quality devices have the option to create learning quads where the students' learning goes far beyond what is expected of them with the use of tablets and quality headphones also increase students' technology skills and awareness of technology in the community.
