Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students love science, engineering, group projects and are very inquisitive. They are inspired when they read about men and women who had great ideas, persevered, and solved problems. It is important to give students opportunities to work together on projects that promote science and engineering. Supplies are vital in order for students to explore, design, build and experiment.
STEM activities and science experiments capture the imagination of students.
It opens up a whole world of engineering principles and exploration that never existed before for them. With the requested supplies students will observe insect metamorphosis, wire circuits, batteries, and small electric motors, and lights. They will be able to build and design with permoplast modeling clay, and study geography with writable globes. They can use these activities to research, write, and present their findings. My students are excited about STEM activities, and each student is proud of their teamwork, research skills, and determination.
My students care about each other, they take pride in their school, and they are excited about opportunities to work together on engaging projects.
My Project
My students are excited about science and STEM activities. Designing activities that promote teamwork and problem solving also involves a list of costly materials. Our classroom is limited on the resources needed to make these projects happen.
These STEM supplies will help create a lifetime of problem solving, perseverance and enthusiasm for teamwork.
Building, designing, cooperating, and learning will take place in projects that are well developed and funded. Activities that require electric motors, batteries, LED lights, clay, magnets, and other building supplies are exciting for students. Students who are not always successful with pencil and paper questions and answers will be given the chance to feel valuable and successful.
