Hello! I teach Social Studies. We have such a strong community that supports our school in any way possible, but funds are severely lacking in resources that promote STEM. I love my students’ drive to develop new skills, but our resources are limited. Our students love to learn about the world around them, and I want them to have every opportunity possible. I want to thank you for taking the time to read about our students and community, and thank you for investing in their future.
My Project
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) is on the rise. I would like to provide my students with as many tools that I possibly can, so they can experience projects that support this idea. There are several STEM projects that coincide with my curriculum. There are so many projects that go along with Ancient Civilizations but because I do not have the funds to complete these projects, my students are not able to experience them.
STEM promotes hands-on learning within the classroom, while making these subject areas fun for students.
The majority of our students are kinesthetic learners, meaning that they learn best with something tangible in their hands. I would like to provide my students with these items, so we can complete these projects to develop a better understanding of the world around them. Thank you!
