My 1st Grade classroom is full of enthusiastic and wonderfully curious kids! They come each day with a smile on their faces, ready for the excitement of the day. Exposing and encouraging my students in the areas of science, math, and technology is a must in today's world! I strive to prepare lessons that highlight these areas for them.
Even at this age, many of my students express an interest in becoming
an engineer, architect, or even a scientist! They cheer when they are able to participate in any type of hands on task that involves brainstorming, building, and creating. I would love to be able to feed those interests with a multitude of STEM activities.
My Project
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) activities help kids to become critical thinkers and problem solvers. I would love to give my students the opportunity to engage with open ended, hands-on materials that encourage exploration, perseverance, and collaboration for kids with all levels of abilities.

The enthusiasm for this type of instruction and learning is always a classroom favorite. Since my STEM supplies are very limited, the items I have selected are all materials that will encourage creative thinking over and over again, producing different outcomes with each use.
