Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My sixth grade science classes are comprised of approximately 130 amazing students, many of whom come from very diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Our middle school strives to provide excellent education for grades 6-8 and provides a rigorous academic course load that is made possible by the fantastic teachers and staff who work in tandem to create a safe and accessible learning environment for all of our students.
Curious minds want to know; all about science that is! Students at my class have the desire and passion to learn. They are motivated and full of wonder about the world we live in and the problems they will have to solve. They are the out-of-the-box problem solvers and thinkers of tomorrow.
Help me create the most engaging science classroom these students have ever encountered.

My Project
In a world where kids are obsessed with video games and online games, I would like to encourage students to use their hands and their minds by using STEM bins. STEM stands for Science Technology Engineering and Math. Research shows that not enough students are pursuing careers in these fields. Many students think they will become youtubers and video gamers and are spending too much time in front of a screen.
I want to encourage my students to use hands on activities and creativity to create amazing things.
I want to build future engineers and problem solvers. Using these STEM bins will help encourage students in the fields of math, science, technology, and even art.
