Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
"The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go." by Dr. Seuss. This quote sums up the goal I have for my students. I have 26 amazing first graders who live in a low-income, high poverty area where they face many challenges in their daily lives, but they love school!
My goal is to instill in each child a love of learning and the belief that they can do anything!
They come to school each day excited and ready to learn. My desire is to provide them a safe and loving environment where they can thrive.
My Project
STEM, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, education affords us the opportunity to spark a lifelong interest in learning. The value of STEM education is invaluable. Primary grade classrooms are rich opportunities for students to investigate and explore.
The addition of these STEM kits in the classroom will help my students work together to become critical thinkers and investigators.
Students often learn best by exploring, asking questions and participating in hands-on activities. My goal is to create inquiry-driven lessons where my students will be fully engaged and that spark their curiosity. These STEM kits will enrich my students' experiences and lives.
