I am a teacher in a low-income, high poverty school district. My students are faced with many challenges inside and outside of school. My goal is to ensure that every student is given the materials and resources needed to learn.
I greet every student by name at the door with a smile because I want each student to feel important.
When they are in my room, I focus on their potential and growth.
My students are happy and eager to learn, and I am excited to watch them flourish.
My Project
My students absolutely enjoy STEM activities. I am a second year teacher looking to give my students more STEM materials. I believe it is so important to allow them the opportunity to use the hands, challenge their minds and build things that they can be proud of.
STEM activities enable the students not only to be designers, creators, and scientists but so much more.
The Domino Rally will let them build a coarse where they can experience a reaction, The Roller Coaster Challenge Building Game will challenge them to create a track that will work allowing for trial and error, and The Pendulonium and Crashapult STEM Challenge items will let them experience the science behind catapults and pendulums.
This project will give my students the tools necessary to create and build and use their little minds to make and do big things.
