My Students

Our wonderful and inquisitive students at my elementary are always looking for new ways to increase their learning through meaningful experiences that will lead them to better understand the world around them. They are always looking for new experiences throughout meaningful and relevant sessions that will help them to increase their academic skills while helping others to become successful through the use of student-led projects.

Our students are simply amazing; they are always happy to come to school regardless of the many challenges they face every day.

Just like any other fifth graders, they have dreams and aspirations of becoming productive members of society. They do understand that they must work extra hard to overcome the many hardships they face at home and in their community since they were heavily impacted by the recent Hurricane Harvey. Even if they face many challenges every day, they know that coming to school will help them to become better prepared for the future.

In our school, we encourage our students to collaborate with others. We want them to know that we are there to support them in every way that we can and that their efforts and hard work are valued.

My Project

In order to help our students to learn first hand the difference between a closed/open and simple/complex circuits, Snap Circuits will help them to attain this goal. The students will interactively create circuits in a concrete manner. In addition to practicing circuits, the students will use the Chromebooks to practice math and science.

The students will use the Snap Circuits to create open, closed, and complex circuits; the students will be able to determine the characteristics of each type of circuit by manually being able to create such type of circuits.

With these tools, our students will be able to utilize diverse online tools in an individualized manner. They will be able to practice math and science at their own pace by using such wonderful tools.
