My students are enthusiastic learners who have come to love hands-on learning. My students are encouraged to question and explore the world around them. In my classroom, students are pushed to be their best while being able to grow and develop based on their personal needs. They are encouraged to take intellectual risks and work cooperatively.
My school is a Title I school in which every student is entitled to free breakfast and free lunch.
We service students with special needs, as well as a population of ENL (English as a new language) students. My students work hard each and every day to combat any personal struggles that they may be facing.
My Project
The materials I am requesting will help my students have a hands on experience during STEM/ science class. After learning about electricity and completing scientific experiments the students will have the prior knowledge required to cooperatively create the circuits using the kits.
The rainbow diffraction glassed will allow the students an opportunity to experience the spectrum of colors put out by white light.
The English Language Learners will be able to understand concept using these glasses.
The magic of the balancing birds will allow the students to problem solve by having them figure out how they work. They will each be able to conduct their own investigation using their individual birds. Our IEP students will be able to practice their fine motor skills by manipulating these birds.
