Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are creative, curious, love to explore, and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things! It is a joy to see the excitement and energy in students when they have to explore and work until their ideas come to life. My goal is to create a classroom where my students can explore and make real life connections
My Project
STEM is important because it is used in every part of our lives. Science is everywhere around us. Technology is consistently changing. Engineering is a way to explore. Mathematics is used in everyday life. STEM Bins gives students opportunities to explore and learn all at the same time. By exposing students to STEM Bins hopefully it will create a passion in the student to carry throughout their future. Young minds are fearless when it comes to technology as children of the 21st century they need to be prepared to use a variety of tools to engage their world. STEM Bins are a great way to engage all students. My students will be able to use all different types of manipulatives like LEGO’s, snowflake building blocks and many more tools to be as creative as their minds will take them. Students will be able to use the STEM Bins all throughout the day to grow their minds through hands on learning.
