Help me give my students this amazing STEM center loaded with activities to develop higher level thinking, problem solving skills, and improve math concepts.
I am so excited and feel extremely grateful to be starting my second year as a VPK teacher/director. I love working with preschoolers, and seeing how their eyes light up when I have taught them something new. I have two classes, a morning session and an afternoon session giving me a total of 40 students. Each and every one of them are special and silly in their own unique way. They are so eager every day to learn new things and be a part of the fun and exciting activities. Giving them a great first experience to school is one of my biggest goals. When they find out that learning is fun, they are excited to come to school every day. I believe this excitement for learning will create future academic success.
My Project
My students need this amazing mobile STEM table loaded with educational activities to help them develop higher level thinking skills. These new educational activities will challenge the children, to use problem solving skills and strengthen their math concepts. Having this new table will keep all the STEM activities in one designated engineering space. The magnetic white boards on both sides can be used to help the children work on their print knowledge with magnetic letters and dry erase markers, as well as be used to construct a magnetic coaster. This center will also promote social and emotional development by creating new opportunities for peer to peer interaction and discovery.
