My Students

I teach in a Title 1 school where seventy-five percent of our students receive free and reduced price lunch. We have highly motivated students that are willing to work hard. They are always extremely excited when they get to learn something new about the world around them! Our school system does not have a lot of excess funds, and our location often limits what our students are exposed to. Often it is up to the school and classroom teachers to provide materials and experiences to teach our students about the world around them.

My Project

We live in a small rural town where our students do not always have access to the latest technological advances. Most of their exposure to technology comes from teachers who work hard to challenge students with scant resources.

I have a group of motivated and capable learners that need the right materials to spark their interest in STEM careers.

Many of my students have heard of robotics, but have no idea about how they are created and programmed. These robotics kits are a perfect way to introduce them to the technology required to design and program robots. Today's job market demands workers have a strong STEM foundation and these robots will put my students on the right track!
