Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students live in the inner-city and are mostly English language learners from low-income families. Our school works as a team to create the best learning environment possible. The school's philosophy focuses on problem-solving, leadership, and collaboration skills with an emphasis on 21st-century skills.
My students are self-motivated young people who are eager to learn.
They learn from the mistakes they make and are always willing to try. The majority of my students will be the first to attend college in their family.
My Project
This hands-on project allows for students to prepare for presenting their learning about STEM. All items requested will be put to use immediately.
STEM activities provide hands-on and minds-on lessons for the student.
Making math and science both fun and interesting helps the student to do much more than just learn. The renewable energy robot kits will allow students to see how these sources of energy can work. Air pollution is a huge problem that our Earth needs to address. Students will make connections as to how these kits can lead to less of a dependence on fossil fuels. The projector will help project students infomercials on the need to use renewable energy. The Apple TV will help with projecting video from our class iPad to the projector. This project build on students' curiosity.
