This year the majority of my students are encountering their first time in a school setting. They are coming from a low-income area of Ohio. They need a lot of one-on-one help, as they are three to five years old, and some with learning disabilities.
My students are very energetic and eager to learn, and they have a lot of fun doing it!
With every lesson taught, the students are expanding their minds. I have many students that will be going on to kindergarten next year, and I plan to have them equipped with all the skills that they need to be successful in their academic career.
I am super excited about this project. These materials will help the students connect literacy with hands on building. They will be able to listen to the story, brain storm ideas on what to do, and then physically do it. These kits look really interesting. They are common nursery rhymes, but they have the hands on aspect that is hard to do with some literacy. My students will be so excited to play with these kits. And I am excited to see how they figure solutions to the problems. These will really work their cognitive abilities and team work. Thank you so much for your interest in my project!
