My students need flight suits to immerse into the STEM Aviation Flight Academy Mission. The virtual aircraft carrier Ambition will seem even more realistic in uniforms.
My students are intellectually gifted students with a desire to learn in real life situations. They love to be immersed in an environment different from the regular classroom. These students come alive with learning in this way. AMBITION will ignite 3 days of real-life problem solving using STEM.
My students come from an area facing daily challenges as our community continues to rebuild after hurricanes and a recent oil spill.
This group of students was born during the time of the last big storm and all have experienced behavior and emotional difficulties based on rebuilding and change. We strive to continue educating and challenging these students to rebound to their full potential of building an ambition for learning.
My Project
The students will spend 3 days on the Aircraft Carrier Ambition where they will be given missions to solve as a crew. They are role playing and the uniforms will add to the enthusiasm of solving aviation missions. This field trip will provide more concrete and experiential learning that will extend what we are learning in the classroom. This will allow students to be immersed into real life problem solving with immediate outcomes. They will experience hands-on learning that we cannot reproduce in the classroom.

They allow students to immerse into another world of learning! Imagine experiencing an immersive, aviation-based adventure that is revolutionizing STEM. The students will board a virtual aircraft carrier for a three day program. While aboard Ambition, game-playing, combined with the thrill of flight, aviation missions, teamwork and communication will create a learning environment that can not be reproduced in the classroom. The uniforms will make the experience!
