My students need hands on STEM materials; magnet building tiles, magnetic building blocks, straws and connectors building kits, and an interlocking plastic disc set.
My students are an energetic, fun, and eager group of 6 and 7 year old children! They are hard workers that are excited to learn each and every day.
My students love to learn through hands-on activities.
It is so important that they are provided with the resources they need to be successful for the rest of their lives. Our school provides a warm and loving atmosphere for students where the faculty goes above and beyond in partnering with families to ensure each child's success in and out of the classroom.
My Project
The materials I have requested for my classroom will be used to create STEM Bins. Each bin will contain different design challenges. Students will learn to collaborate, plan, experiment, and think critically. STEM projects help teach students how to incorporate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics into project based learning activities.
Our classroom STEM bins will be filled with supplies that create challenges for students to become little engineers as they practice problem solving.
Each bin will contain task cards to challenge students to create a variety of structures by using different materials such as Picasso tiles and Brain Flakes. Our STEM bins will keep students engaged in creative, thought-provoking tasks and encourage them to think like inventors. If our STEM project is fully funded my students would have the supplies they need in order to carry out this learning model for our STEM projects.
