My students need materials for LEGO DUPLO My First Number Train, LEGO Duplo My First Emotions, Tubes Experiment Set for Problem Solving and Fine Motor Skills, and other Lego STEM activities that will support our content learning while integrating engineering and technology!
Students in my kindergarten classroom are amazing learners and relish experience with eyes brightened when exposed to new learning. We are a Title One and Language Academy School, which provides our community with a diverse group of kids with diverse life experience. Often, these kids are new to our country, have limited English, or limited resources. Their amazing life experience teaches me daily and I love being able to share with them educational experiences as well.
Kindergarten students learn in many ways so integrating content learning with STEM, art, hands-on exploration, and music is essential.
I find that engaging students in their academic standards in a real and innovative way helps them find a passionate drive to learn. I am lucky to set these kids off on their road to education and am proud to have kids leave my walls loving to learn.
My Project
In this project, students will be introduced to amazing STEM activities that support their content learning throughout the school year. In one activity set, students will use social-emotional learning while building characters to show emotions. This simple engineering strategy using the Lego Education Emotions set, will enhance content knowledge with STEM activities. Students will also use the Lego Education Tubes and Slides kit to engineer communities. They will apply science, social studies, and math standards while integrating STEM activities. Using Lego Education materials to enhance content learning while integrating STEM activities is a wonderful way to engage and support student learning.
