My Students
My third grade class is a group of students who are eager to learn, inquisitive, and creative. Over 90% of my students are English language learners, and I admire them for their courage and tenacity to seek knowledge and continue working even when it is hard. They learn best through hands-on projects and stories.
As a brand new school, resources are limited.

My Project
As a brand new STEM school, our resources are limited. One main resource that is limited in my classroom is books. I would love to be able to build up a library of quality STEM books for my students.
Studies have shown that literature is a great way for students to connect to STEM challenges.
Books provide a way for students to engage in the lesson and start to get students minds going. My classroom also has a huge English Language Learner population. These quality books and materials would provide a visual connection for these students and engage them in learning.
