Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My 4th grade students are the first generation of Spanish Dual Immersion program in our school. They have been together since kinder and have grown into a strong community. All my students are proud to be part of a multicultural community that emphasizes on unity and appreciation for all. They are proactive and take responsibility to succeed in two languages.
This is my first year teaching, this group is eager to help me with anything that could simultaneously enhance their learning.
I appreciate their knowledge on the various uses of technology and applications. I have learned so much from them, it continues to inspire me to teach my very best. I want to provide the best lessons that will help them succeed in the present and in the future.
My Project
All the resources such as the magnet building sticks, LEGOs, and marble run super sets will be used in our STEM center. They will be to practice with engineering based learning. For example, the magnets building sticks will be used to create structures that could be tested in our earthquake lessons. They will also use them in math for those students that need manipulatives and extension activities.
My students will benefit from a STEM center that will motivate them to expand their knowledge about the real world by creating their own unique projects.
I want my students to continue being problem solvers and help each other find solutions.
