STEM Learning with a Math Focus

Help me give my students hands on experiences in the classroom to gain skills in problem solving! It is also so critical for them to gain strength in math and practice not giving up when problems are hard!

My Project

We are living in a world where STEM is critical! Hands on learning experiences for these students will help to make them most successful in their futures. Math is of utmost importance as we face a world full of technology, coding and problem solving.

I love my students, and it is no doubt that they are facing difficult situations in and out of school.

I want to show them that hard work and problem solving can guide a path for their futures. By having these materials on hand within our classroom we are able to use them daily and examine different solutions to various problems. They will be able to use the circuit makers for trial and error as well as critical thinking. The math games will allow for students to work together to understand the everyday concepts taught within our classroom. The remainder of the supplies will be used to stimulate our Makerspace rotations in the classroom through projects and Teachers Pay Teacher's resources available to supplement STEM activities.

I think that making learning fun is important. I want them to feel loved, valued and worthy. I want them to know that I believe in them and even when things are hard, they can do hard things. By having these resources and helping to teach them in the classroom about perseverance they can be the best versions of themselves giving back to their communities.
