Help me give my students the Who Was...book series, books about our government and Science kits to help them participate in biography writing projects.
I teach at a school where my students come to school with very little in their backpacks. My students come from low-income households. This would be a great opportunity for them to learn math, science, and social studies skills through STEM.
My students are very eager to learn.
They are very creative, and this would just be another tool to help them thrive in the classroom and beyond. This would help them share their ideas with others in a way that they might not do otherwise.
My Project
Since my students come to me with very little in their backpacks, this would help them strengthen their knowledge and give them a little more for their backpacks.
With these activities, my students can learn social studies and science through a hands-on approach.
They will use the Foundations of U.S. Government Posters & Our Government Books to learn more about our government and the procedures that come with the government. The Map Skills Posters will help with map skills, and the American Symbols Book Set will help familiarize them with American symbols. They will also be able to participate in biography writing activities with the Who Was...Series. The Sick Science Kits will give them some STEM hands-on activities and experiments.
