My students are so excited to start getting hands-on STEAM experiences in our new Innovation Lab. We will delve into 3D printing, robotics, and programming, as well as many other hands-on projects. It is so fun to watch their faces light up when they see the results of their own creations.
The students are curious and creative, imaginative and innovative.
I love hearing their new ideas. We are a diverse school with many cultures and languages, and STEAM experiences are great at bringing everyone together for a common goal.
Our students can earn rewards for good behavior, such as being responsible, ready and respectful. These rewards are in the form of school "money" that can be turned in to purchase items, activities and experiences.
One of the activities they can purchase is extra time in the Innovation STEM lab to play with and program our robots.
The students always love to try out new things, and the addition of a Wonder Robot Dash and a Sphero will make them so happy.
We also have LEGO WeDo kits in the lab where the students can build robots that are programmed with the tablets. Unfortunately, LEGO get lost and having the replacements will keep our kits usable.
