I teach a great group of 3rd graders! They are always trying their best to keep learning, discovering, and creating. They come from a variety of backgrounds and have all chosen to be here at school in person. I want to provide for each of them a safe learning community where they feel they always belong and can make mistakes.
My Project
My students have been working so hard this year! I have recently added STEM time into our weekly schedule to allow for my students have more hands on learning time. My students are loving this time to be creative, problem solve, and build something from their own ideas. With these new supplies my students will be able to create STEM presentations to share with classmates and family at home.
The supplies I am getting will allow for each of my students to have hands on time thinking outside the box!
The Legos and Magna tiles are the perfect building blocks that students can you use to create a variety of things. I can't wait to see all the things my class will come up with!
Our class will be beginning at STEM project/presenataion with our new supplies. Students will think of any every day problem they would like to solve, something they encounter in their day to day life. They will then use our Legos and Magna tiles to build an object that would help solve their problem. Then students will use their headsets to create a video explaining their problem solution, and object they designed. Last, we will be able to share these videos in class as well as send them home! I know that our families will love to be included in our project!
