My students need these Stem Centers to improve their motor skills and learn to work together.

As a teacher at a low-income and high poverty area, I notice my students are faced with both good and challenging situations. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences. All the students at my school want a chance to enhance their learning and reach for the stars.
"It's not about what it is.
It's about what it can become."
Many of them are being raised in foster care, single-parent homes, or with a close relative. The demographics in the areas where they live are not conducive to acceptable learning. When my students walk in my door, I want them to identify their exceptional characteristics, develop positive self-esteem, and feel they are cherished. I want them to know that my classroom is a heartfelt, inspiring, and encouraging environment where creativity is encouraged through self-expression and imagination.
My students want to experience their learning using hands-on activities. When I provide an atmosphere of involvement, their learning increases tremendously. Your donation will help give us the materials to make great thinkers and make learning fun.
I would like to add these STEM Kits to our classroom. The Create-A-Chain Reaction STEM kit, Zoob Building set, Slot-A-Shape Builders, Geostix, Translucent Pattern Blocks and Clip and Create Builders. My students enjoy doing anything hands-on which allows them to construct objects on their own. These STEM centers will reinforce following directions, encourage creativity, and allow them to explore the concepts of engineering at the young age of five. These materials will enable my students to experience many interactive possibilities of building and engineering, as well as have more concrete experiences in solving STEM engineering challenges.
Your donation will extremely benefit my impoverished students and allow them to have the exposure to technology that they would not normally receive.
It is my goal to help them become confident learners, and I will do my best to help make this year a positive experience for each and every one of my students.
