I am an Elementary and Primary Computer Technology teacher in a Title I, a low-income district with more than sixty percent on free or reduced-price lunch. Our students are a very diverse and unique group of kindergartners through sixth graders. Each has a variety of strengths and needs as twenty-five percent of our students require specially designed instruction. All of these children are very special and unique in their own way.
We want our students to have resources that encourage inclusion and diversity in STEM.
My Project
I want my young students to realize, despite their ethnicity, background, or gender, they can be anything they want to be! I want students to learn what types of careers exist!
This kit provides students the hands-on materials, they need to explore STEM concepts, build spatial awareness, and even get an introduction to coding and programming!
These STEM Job Kits will enhance learning about diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism in careers. Developed in collaboration with the American Heart Association, this innovative kit provides immersive educational experiences that boost essential problem-solving skills and support critical thinking. The exclusive kit features a targeted selection of age-appropriate building sets, file folder games, engineering activities and more.
