Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Within the walls of my school you will see a diverse group of kids. Upon entering our classrooms, you will meet students who are very eager to learn, but lack life experiences.
As teachers we want to make this a reality for them.
Through exposure to more tangible science, math activities and games, our students will grow academically.
Several of our students come from a low socioeconomic background. Our students are a diverse group of second language learners, special education, and general education students. All of the first grade students will benefit from these games this year and enjoy coming to school with all of these enriching activities.
My Project
Math is a very important component that any student needs to feel comfortable with. If I were able to teach these students to enjoy math and science , they would advance their thinking and goals. Please help us meet our goal of having these math and science materials available for us to use on a daily basis. These math games and stem games will really allow us to explore math and science on a different level. Your donation brings us one step closer to achieving our S.T.E.M. needs!
These materials will provide a much needed enrichment for our children that they may not get to experience at home.
S.T.E.M. is a very important component that any student needs to feel comfortable with. The LEGO tools are essential in helping them and will help make learning fun. My kids love to use our math and science time to share their different ways or solving problems. During this time, they are also using vital skills they will need for the rest of their lives like communication, sharing and the foundation on mathematics and science. Using the magnets and S.T.E.M. games will help them your their building skills too.
In my class, having these (S.T.E.M.) activities will allow the students to be creative and use their imagination. The students will be able to sharpen their skills with number recognition, addition and subtraction.
