My Students

My students love visiting our media center and have helped make it the hub of our school!

My students enter the media center excited and ready to read and learn!

Grades PK - 6th grade visit my media center daily and include all academic levels. My students come from varied backgrounds and many from military families. We have also received new students from Puerto Rico due to Hurricane Maria. A common factor among all of my students is their excitement to read and learn!

My Project

By providing my students with materials from LEGO Education in the media center I will be able to incorporate their love of reading with learning through STEM. The media center provides hands on learning for all students and the LEGO kits will allow my youngest students to participate as well.

Students love to learn by having hands on experiences and the LEGO education kits will do just that.

Being able to see my PreK and Kindergarten students be able to think like scientists, as well as, experiment and test ideas all while connecting concepts to literature will provide them opportunities to love not only reading but also science, technology, engineering and math.
