My students need STEM manipulatives. I am implementing a Pre-k STEM curriculum and I need to add more materials that will help me teach these concepts. Plus more interesting manipulatives will engage my kids.

My students are inquisitive, loving and very eager to learn. They love to explore and experiment. They are all very smart and capable children who just need a little help reaching their full potential!
I have students who have been diagnosed with Autism, Down syndrome and other developmental delays.
My students diagnosis does not define them and I never ever say I have a Downs or Autistic student. In my class the person comes first! My students have an exceptionality, it does not define who they are or what they will be!
We enjoy dancing, singing, playing games and cooking! WE love to make messes and all of my kids are great helpers! They have stolen my heart and I love each and everyone of them.
I am implementing STEM in my pre-k Special education classroom. STEM education has become common place everywhere except in the pre-k classroom. According to a report written by The Early Childhood STEM working group, early investments in STEM education pay-off. STEM jobs are growing at a rate of about 9% per year and with that growth the demand for qualified people grows. In the first years children experience a tremendous amount of brain growth and during this time is an ideal opportunity to introduce new things and teach children how to problem solve and become curious learners. With these additional manipulatives I can inspire my kids to be curious about the world around them. We can watch matter change, build, and solve problems and play, which is ultimately a child's job.
I really want to inspire, motivate and give the children the confidence to explore, make mistakes and find solutions.
With your help I can equip my classroom with the necessary tools that will help me create memorable and exciting lessons that will reach the children through multi-modal learning experiences. I hope to have enough materials to rotate monthly. We will use the insect specimens as we learn about living things and life science. The children love to play with cars and build with blocks. With the coaster building set we can examine physics and use our imagination! My kids are very curious about ants and bugs, with the ant farm the children will have an opportunity to safely watch ants at work and learn about cooperation and working together! The science viewers, I predict, will be a classroom favorite! We will use these to get a close up look at birds and insects. I am very excited about the possibilities and how these materials will help me grow.
