Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach a special day class that is filled with awesome students who love learning and coming to school every day. My students are always seeking a challenge and enjoy the feeling of success when completing a task or an assignment. I enjoy being an educator and helping shape the minds and hearts of our future leaders. The learning process is an enjoyable task for my students. My students enjoy the challenge on a daily basis.
My students are happy, motivated, and awesome children who love doing their best on any given task.
Our school is a beautiful campus that has a welcoming environment for all students, parents, teachers, and staff.
My Project
Help me give my students the chance to learn more about STEM during their enrichment time. These STEM kits take real-world situations and put the students in the engineer's seat. The students work together to solve the problem using the information and materials provided in the packets and reusable plastic sleeves, name tags, and name plates.
These STEM challenges are beneficial to students because they ask students to solve situations that are very real in today's world.
Students often want to know when and where they might use certain skills, and these challenges answer those questions. It is important that students understand that scientists and engineers are not always in a lab or office. They are out in the world solving its problems!
I have challenged my students to complete tasks that will improve their understanding of real-world situations and will present their creations at the end of enrichment class! These materials that include the plastic sleeves, name tags, and nameplates will be used for the final presentation to our school. These items will go a long way to help reward their hard work and perseverance to grow as STEM students in both math, science, and even their everyday life.
