My students are 6 & 7 year old boys and girls in a small community in Phoenix's north valley. They are eager learners and the future leaders of America. These kids have mixed talents and abilities that are waiting to be discovered and nurtured.
My students spend their year learning how to collaborate and cooperate with a variety of personalities and abilities so they can learn to gently lead and graciously follow at the same time.
These kids have generous, loving hearts and are ready to be guided into their future.
My Project
Students will use these brain boxes daily to develop strong problem solving skills. They will be challenged to work both collaboratively and cooperatively while engineering new ideas every day.
These STEM boxes will teach my students so much more than building and engineering.
Students will need to learn how to work with a variety of abilities, talents, and personalities. Their groups' successes are dependent on these skills.
While failure is inevitable, as Aisha Tyler once said, " Success is not the absence of failure; it's the persistence through failure". My students are going to learn to embrace their failures as opportunities to learn and grow.
