We are from a small rural neighborhood in Western North Carolina. Our Elementary School is starting a STEM club after school. This is our first year doing STEM after school and we are so excited to being this journey and make new discoveries along the way.
Our students are creative and love inventing robots that they can control.
STEM will help students learn about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. These are skills that will help students thrive in the real world.
My Project
I am asking for craft materials including magnetic buttons, modeling clay and craft sticks. These materials will help students complete different STEM building activities that relate to the 2018 winter Olympics. They will be completing challenges that involve bobsledding, figure skating, skiing and curling. The comfy floor seats are so students have flexible seating options in the classroom.
I want school to be fun and these activities would help accomplish that.
STEM is a huge part of school now days and our students need to see that what we are learning in school relates to the world around them. Many students are watching the Olympics at home and wishing they were there. These activities will allow students to experience the Olympics without being there.
